What Happens In A Somatic Intensive
Each intensive is thoughtfully paced and tailored to you, while grounded in nervous-system–informed care. Our time together may include:

Psychoeducation on how trauma and chronic stress live in the body and nervous system

Learning and practicing regulation tools you can take with you beyond the session

Gentle exploration of activation cycles, getting curious about what didn’t get to happen “back then” and what your body may still be seeking now

Supporting completion—allowing protective responses, boundaries, or movements to unfold in ways that feel safe and resourced

Touchwork for in-person intensives, when appropriate and consented to

Intentional, attuned touch and presence for virtual intensives, using visualization and somatic attunement

Space for integration, reflection, and insight so the work can settle rather than rush

Why A Somatic Intensive
Weekly sessions are powerful, and sometimes what’s needed is time. Time to stay with what arises. Time to follow the body’s cues without interruption. Time to integrate instead of compartmentalize.

This 4-hour intensive, plus a follow-up integration session, is equivalent to approximately 12 one-hour sessions.
